Decorative Concrete Richmond BC

This is a photo of stamped concrete installed by decorative concrete contractors. This person's home is based in Richmond.

As decorative concrete contractors, we know that concrete can be one of the many ways to add curb appeal to your property in a way with little to no maintenance. Decorative concrete works with patios, walkways, driveways, pool decks, floors, and even counter tops. The beauty of concrete is that you can use different techniques in different areas to create an unlimited number of designs and styles to go with.

Decorative concrete is usually created by adding special ingredients into the concrete mix before it is poured or adding a layer on top once the concrete is cured. Whether you are looking to give existing concrete an upgrade or you are looking to install some new concrete onto your property, our concrete contractors will ensure your project is completed flawlessly.

Stamped Concrete

Stamping concrete can create beautiful designs and shape when mix and matched with different colours. A stamp with your desired pattern is imprinted onto a fresh layer of concrete to create the design you are looking for. With the modern concrete technology, it's even possible to make a patio look like wood when in fact it is made of concrete. Mimicking brick and other stones for walkways and driveways is also a common use of stamped concrete. By colouring your concrete with a red tone, you can install a beautiful brick inspired pathway or driveway. Stamped concrete is very versatile and can easily match your home's exterior and landscape. Our concrete contractors will walk you through each step of the process to make sure you are getting the exact look you are wanting.

Stained Concrete

Staining your concrete opens up an entire new variable for you to consider for your concrete project. Compared to painting, staining you concrete causes the color to really infuse and create a translucent effect. When painting concrete, the effect on the surface is more opaque as you are essentially adding another layer on top. Using proper staining techniques, we are able to replicate the effects of marble, natural stone, brick, and even wood. Imagine having a beautiful patio with the aesthetics of wood but the durability and sturdiness of concrete. Because these stains actually penetrate the concrete, it is an excellent option for both indoor and outdoor concrete projects. Surfaces such as patios, walkways, kitchen counter tops, and driveways are great spots for staining.

Exposed Aggregate Concrete

Exposed aggregate concrete is a type of concrete that most people have probably seen before but may not actually put the name and concrete together in their mind. Like the name suggests, this concrete starts with a plain surface which is then stripped to reveal the "exposed" concrete below. The exposed concrete has embedded natural stones such as granite, quartz, and limestones which create a beautiful design when surfaced. As the exposed bits come to surface, a texture is created which actually adds to the grip of the concrete. Exposed aggregate is one of our clients favorite due to the beautiful designs it can create along with the extra utility gained from the textures.

While exposed aggregate can look great on its own, our contractors love to get creative with the designs. A great way to mix and match is to have the main portion of your concrete project (lets use a driveway for examples sake) filled with exposed aggregate while the border is made of stamped concrete. This is just one design pattern we love to use and our clients couldn't agree more.
